Get a Tax Break When You Insulate
Boost your home's energy efficiency and save money with the federal tax credit in 2022
How Can I Take Advantage of the Tax Credit?
We know getting a tax credit is a big deal, and we want to ensure you get the most out of it.
That's why we recommend that you consult with a tax professional to help you determine how best to take advantage of the tax credit, as well as help you complete the necessary paperwork to claim it on your taxes.
Know the Details
In order for your insulation project to qualify for the tax credit, it needs to have been "placed into service" during the taxable year.
While the tax credit can cover the cost of the materials themselves, it cannot include installation costs.
Keep Your Paperwork Handy
To get the 25C Homeowner Tax Credit, you'll need to have your USA Insulation contract, applicable Manufacturer's Certification Statements (available on our website), and fill out Form 5695, along with your other tax forms.
Note: The tax credit is retroactive to January 1, 2018.
