Federal and State Programs for Home Insulation

Discover how you can improve your home's energy efficiency and get money back at the same time.

First, have you heard of the federal tax credit?

Ends december 31!

Section 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit

With the updated Section 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement federal tax credit, you can get a tax break when you insulate—covering 30% of material costs, up to a $1,200 maximum.

The updated tax credit was included in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Congress changed the sunset date to the end of 2025 with its passing of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in July. Act now—the tax credit expires soon!

To ensure you qualify, have your insulation installed by December 31, 2025. When filing your tax return, gather your USA Insulation contract, the Manufacturer's Certification Statements, and fill out Form 5695.
