Role Summary
USA Insulation in-home Energy Consultants earn top-pay as our proprietary Injection Foam is simply unmatched. Our Consultants follow a professional and proven process that enables them to sell all products while preserving our customer-first philosophy and an outstanding customer satisfaction rating.
Essential Functions
- Learn and master the USA Insulation Sales Process (Agenda setting, discovery conversation, customer education, thorough home inspection, pictures and detailed notes, pitchbook, sales video, crafting multiple estimate options, price presentation, negotiation, financing presentation, closing, deposit collection, contract signing, scheduling, paperwork submission).
- Learn and use all digital systems for learning and selling including LMS, CRM, customer-presentation platform, pricing platform, finance platforms.
- Understand the installation process as it pertains to sales.
- Meet homeowners at pre-set appointments set by our inbound call center between the hours of 9 AM and 6 PM. Allow for frequent Evenings and Saturday appointments.
- Self-schedules additional sufficient number of appointments with prospective customers.
- Regularly contact leads in the system and prior unsold estimates to self-generate appointments in addition to pre-set appointments
- Regularly contact previous customers for referrals.
- Network weekly to generate referrals with area home-service professionals such as realtors, roofers, HVAC professionals, mold/disaster recovery professionals.
- Attend events to promote USA Insulation and schedule estimates with homeowners.
- Achieve and maintain 35%+ closing rate, and meet/exceed expected average sale of $5,000
- Maintain and update prospect records, notes and sales pipeline in CRM systems.
Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of previous Sales experience, ideally in-home but all experience considered.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Language skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret work order and financial reports. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively articulate and present information to customers and management in both written and oral forms. Must be able to speak English.
- Basic Mathematical skills - Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Basic Technology skills - Ability to effectively use software including email, word processing, spreadsheets, construction measurement platforms, CRM, customer presentation platforms.
- Self-motivated, commitment to ongoing professional learning, commitment to customer service
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle and means to drive to appointments. Travel: more than 30%.
- Ability to be covered under company insurance.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time while operating their computer, performing office work and traveling to customers. The individual needs to move about inside an office and at customer sites. They must occasionally access tight spaces such as small attics or crawl-spaces via hatches which can include crawling and climbing. They must be able to use a ladder. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 pounds. They must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary. They are occasionally exposed to wet, warm and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles based on the condition at customer locations. The noise level is usually moderate. The individual is frequently required to travel by automobile.
